“Waitsfield’s Deborah Van Dyke has been fighting for global health care change since 1989. Having worked internationally — much of the time with Doctors Without Borders, Van Dyke has seen many lives lost needlessly due to lack of health care knowledge.

“She decided to take action and founded the Global Health Media Project, an organization working to supply health workers with critical information. Now, while taking advantage of technology and media, Van Dyke doesn’t have to travel further than her backyard to make an impact….
