We are thrilled to announce that we have reached one billion views on YouTube!
We are incredibly grateful that so many people have been able to access, watch, and learn from these videos. These videos are making an important difference in improving health outcomes and saving lives.
Our live-action videos cover eight major topic areas: newborn care, care of small babies, childbirth, breastfeeding, nutrition, nurturing care, family planning, and diabetes. These videos teach basic skills and practices. Together, they account for about 75% of the views (750 million).
We’ve also produced three animations: The Story of Cholera, The Story of Ebola, and The Story of Coronavirus. These videos, which account for 250 million views, explain how, through seeing the invisible germ, the diseases are spread and how to care for the people affected by them.
With a comprehensive library in place (260 videos in 115 languages), our reach and impact continue to rise steadily. We are working to further expand our library by covering more topics and adding more languages.
We are currently producing a series of films on emergency care and an animation called “The Story of Sugar”. We look forward to reaching millions more people with essential, practical, life-saving information.
