Spotlight on World Prematurity Day (Nov 17) – our videos scale in Bangladesh

Our entire Small Baby Series has been narrated in Bangla to support Bangladesh’s national training program for nurses and community health workers. The Bangladesh Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MOHFW) has made it a priority to address the enormous problem of preterm birth in Bangladesh (one-fifth of all babies born each year).

The English versions of these videos were initially used to train nearly 1,000 health workers in Bangladesh. Due to the success of this effort, UNICEF Bangladesh—who is supporting MOHFW in scaling up training for the care of small babies—collaborated with Global Health Media Project to narrate the Small Baby Series in Bangla.
