Robyn Churchill


Robyn Churchill is a Nurse-Midwife with over 20 year’s experience in US and Global Maternal Health. She is currently USAID’s Team Lead, Maternal Health, Maternal and Newborn Health Division. She was the Clinical Director of Sexual/Reproductive & Maternal/Newborn Health (SRMNH) at Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI) and helped develop their integrated SRMNH strategy and spread across more than a dozen countries. She has also provided technical and implementation expertise on large projects in maternal and newborn health, including BetterBirth at Ariadne Labs / Harvard School of Public Health and Merck for Mothers’ Project iDeliver.

Prior to her overseas work, Robyn was a clinical nurse midwife, and as Chief of Midwifery she helped expand the largest midwifery service in New England. She has mentored midwives in the US, India, and sub-Saharan Africa to expand their clinical, leadership and management expertise. Robyn has held clinical appointments with Harvard Medical School, Yale School of Nursing, and BU Medical School.
