Two more newborn care videos released today
Taking a Venous Blood Sample shows three different ways to draw blood from a baby’s vein, a procedure needed when more than a few drops of blood are required for lab tests. Eye Infections shows how to identify and manage such infections, which are common in young babies. Severe eye infections—if not treated properly—can cause blindness. Both videos are available in English, French, and Spanish.
If you missed our announcement, Care of the Cord and Keeping the Baby Warm were also released this month. All of our videos are available in English, French, and Spanish, and our first 30 videos are now available in Nepali. The videos, which can be downloaded free-of-charge from our video library, are intended for frontline health workers in the developing world.
