This video shows how to assess and guide a caregiver during a responsive care visit in a home setting. The counseling visit follows the five-step approach used in USAID’s Responsive Care and Early Learning Addendum training package. The five steps are: Step 1 – welcome the caregiver; Step 2 – assess the child’s situation; Step 3 – analyze areas for improvement; Step 4 – suggest actions; and Step 5 – summarize the visit. The video is part of USAID’s Responsive Care and Early Learning Series, produced by Global Health Media Project in collaboration with JSI Research & Training Institute, Inc.
