Much-anticipated WHO childbirth course includes GHMP videos
WHO has just published the first module of its new Essential Childbirth Course (ECBC), supporting life-long learning in compassionate midwifery care in all settings, worldwide.
This far-reaching course will have five modules when completed. The course includes our childbirth videos, along with videos from our newborn care and breastfeeding series (a total of 20 videos).
ECBC is “focused on the midwifery model of care, which puts women, newborns and their families at the center, ensures continuity of care, and prevents unnecessary interventions, yet ensures lifesaving actions.”
The course will be used for both in-service and pre-service education and support the teaching of midwifery care according to WHO guidelines and recommendations.
